Over the river and through the woods, off to vote we go!
It's super Tuesday!
After a warm breakfast of oatmeal with raw milk and raisins the family and I loaded up and set off to our polling place - which just happens to be down the back hill, through the woods, across the river, at the fire station.
It was so sunny I should have worn shades.
What an awesome way to vote having to walk through the woods first. Very inspiring. You walk a nature trail, leave all the hub bub behind and think "This is it, this is what's important. The woods and my family."
Nyk and I held hands
We marveled at the white water turant that is usually the lazy river that flows by. What a fun summer we will have swimming here!
The polling signs are tacked up to huge, fallen, redwood trees.
Nykki wanted me to vote for Obama becuase "he's a nice guy." I have no idea where he learned that. I heard on the radio today that Obama was voted by some such-and-such as the most liberal senator. Hummmm...tempting but still a no go.
I voted for Cynthia of course. I had to write her in because as an independant in Cali I'm allowed only a Democratic or American Indpendant party ballot for partisan primaries.
Then we scrambled home.
Happy Voting!
