Our lives are very full right now. We are trying to rent a house about 45 mins south east of where we live now. It's a terrific place on a farm and botanical garden. However it's 45 mins away from where we live now which is very uprooting for us since we are so envolved in the local area.
We are waiting right now to hear if we met with the landlady's approval. I hate that. It's so draining to go and look at a place and stand there to be judged. The landlady is really hip though and seemed to really like us, so I have high hopes.
My mind has been spinning around all the wonderful possiblities of such a great place - a chicken cope, maybe horses, goats, more land to grow our food, botanical gardens, having a play room for the kids etc. But what kept me up all night is the trade off of having to drive 1 1/2 hours a day (round trip) Monday through Friday (and maybe even the weekends) because, at first, Seth still has a lot of work to do in Willits and we share a car.
Gas, environment, money.....weighed against the fact that such a nice place is literally a once in a lifetime opportunity around here.
