Anyone who reads this blog knows how I roll so it's no surprise I'm sure that I'm once again saying Happy Thankstaking to you all.
This holiday is odd for me. First of all we're celebrating something that's
a total lie. Second, I'm Euro-American and Native, so some of my folks
did the killin' and some were killed. Kinda weird to wrap my mind around. Third, as a vegetarian all the happy animal slaughter just plain sucks.
Tomorrow we will drive to the in-laws and I will enjoy the family time but, as
usual, with just a hint of pain for the past that I can't escape.
